Friends of the Weiser River Trail
1997 - 2021
Celebrating 24 Years!

Needless to say, COVID-19 has impacted everyone, everywhere.  The good news is the trail remains open, to serve as a safe and healthy outlet in this new culture of social distancing and pandemic.  The restrooms are open and cleaned frequently but obviously not after every use.  The Wye Campground is open for the season, on a first come, first served basis.  To check for availability, contact Ron at 208-566-1025 or e-mail at rjh1940rv@gmail.com.

The biggest impact of COVID-19 is the loss of revenue from the Boise Open ticket sales.  For 20 years, the Boise Open has been our single biggest fund raiser, thanks to the generosity of all who purchased tickets along with a 100% match.  While we successfully raised nearly $20,000 with the Idaho Gives campaign earlier this year, that is less than half of annual revenue from the Boise Open.  Our expenses remain fairly constant, including one full-time employee and ongoing maintenance and repair. gd

Other means of supporting the trail include Amazon Smile, Fred Meyer Community Rewards and Ridley’s Advantage Club.

The Albertson’s Boise Open presented by Krafft is the single biggest fund raiser of the year for the Friends of the Weiser River Trail. Support the trail by purchasing your tickets now!  One hundred percent of ticket sales supports the local charity of your choice.  We have a trail supporter who matches 100% of ticket sales.  In 2015, we raised $55,000 and in 2016, we generated $50,200!!!!
