Each season, 1000 head of goats graze the length of the trail in Washington County, eating noxious weeds.  The project is a joint cooperative effort with the Washington County Weed Authority.

Mission Statement

The mission of The Friends of the Weiser River Trail, a nonprofit organization, is:

· To preserve the integrity of the Pacific and Idaho Northern Railroad corridor;

 

· To develop, manage and maintain a public recreational trail along its length;

 

· To protect and enhance the riparian and other natural habitats within the corridor.
