March 2008:  Much of the trail is under several feet of snow.  The southern part will be the first to thaw.  Until the snow is melted and the trail dries out, there will be muddy parts and it will be hard going.  Expect to encounter rock slides in the canyon south of Midvale.  Expect to encounter snow berms for a while yet, especially the further north you go.

 

Winter is a wonderful time to snowshoe or cross-country ski a pristine trail!  NOTE:  The Trail is NOT groomed in the winter.

 

As soon as the trail dries out a bit, we will be rolling and compacting.
